    Default Flywheel Question

It seems I'm (un)lucky enough to have a DMF fitted to my GSi, unlike the majority of other GSi's which have a single plate flywheel. As it's done what most DMF's seem to do and shuffled off this mortal coil, it's new flywheel & clutch time.

My question is: is it possible to fit the same (problem free) solid flywheel that's on the other cars, instead of a new DMF which could pack up whenever it feels like?

    Thanks in advance.

Is there a problem with overextending the slave cylinder with a solid one? I was told you need some kind of bracket to help with the extra movement?

Mark, please correct me if I am talking dribble again!

The car's booked in for the work to be done, been told they can't fit a solid flywheel due to the clutch. Service desk dude couldn't tell me why though.
