2.2dti tuning question- box over remap?

Have a 2.2dti with a Powerchip.

The chip improves the smoothness of the engine, and the rev range, but doesnt hugely increase the power.

Is there any mileage in fitting a tuning box- i did take the car back to powerchips, and they tweaked the fuelling, but all that happened was the car ran on for a second after switching the engine off!!

(So I fear I might be close to the tweaking limit of what is now a 10 year old design engine)

Yes , I know the answer is to get a cdti 150- just looking for a short term fix....

The 2.2 dti hasn't much potential for tuning with a module, the most they push out is around +20/25bhp, I would look into other alterations to improve the engine though if your anywhere near our offices you are more than welome to come over for a coffee and to try one out.

Wont be too fussed if nowt can be done- I'll be getting a cdti 150 in about 18months time so be interested in a CRD2 for that anyhow- just cant decide between a veccy or a astra sporthatch.

The VXR Vectra Diesel will not be happening until Vectra D in late 2008 according tpo the VXR boss hinself.
