    Default Boot lock failure

Had a problem with the veccy today, finished cleaning the rear window and shut the boot and it didn't latch in.....

So opened locks, and locked a few time's to see if it would work,no way was it going to happen,by this time thought ****,what do i do.......

Got on here and checked for previous posts and found a trick another member has used, did'nt work,so pulled off rear panel to have a look, never had to do this before and knew it was going to be tricky, spotted the solenoid and lock mechanism and tapped it and heard a movement, tried the lock and it worked....

Sprayed the mechanism liberly with some GT85 and locked and unlocked it about a dozen time's,worked a treat

Would like to say a big thank you to all who helps out and passes on info for all to use, again this site saved me a trip to the dealer and out of the **** with SWMBO,thanks again......

Are you going to replace the internal parts in case it goes up the wall again at some unfortunate time which is sods law!!!.

I was wondering why the mechanism would stick, its not as though it is exposed to the elements, the mechanism is buried within the boot lid and that is resonably well sealed? just wondering!!!
