Default I'm gutted. My 314mm brakes don't fit

As per the title. I've got 16" steels and the new brakes don't fit underneath them.

So what do I do now? Sell the brakes or wait for months until I can afford a cheap set of bigger wheels?

im sure the 16" alloys will fit over them, some one will be along and correct me if im wrong, if they do fit surely you can buy a cheap set of 16" alloys then

It's looking like a cheap set of 16s but is just additional expense that I hadn't bargained on. And the delay. The brakes that are on the car at the moment need replacing so the timing of the big brakes couldn't have been better...

They should fit under 16" alloys, but the inside of the steel rims is alot tighter.

Your best bet is to get 17" wheels, as some of the 16" alloys I know won't fit as well.

Yep, I'd hang it out and get a set of cheap 17's to be on the safe side.
Given the amount of people that upgrade to snowflakes, there are often sets of 17's that come up, and they don’t seem to fetch a great deal of cash to be honest.

Blimey that was a good find. I searched ebay and missed them. The garage is only 5 miles up the road.

Off to look down the back of the sofa to see if I can find the extra cash.

    Cheers for all the advice.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not sure what the light gold colour looks like. I'll make enquiries on Monday.

    Cheers.
