    Default Leaking exhaust

was wondering if the exhaust on a 07 (not even a year old) veccy with 30k on it is under warrenty, has been rasping and put it into mee auld mans garage to get looked at before vx did, its blowing on the seam before the flexy, called vx and they said only the cat is , but the pipe is part of the cat ???? any ideas if this is covered, also mee brakes were making a noise and got it looked at again , i was told that its because the pads that i had replaced are slighly smaller even though i bought them from vx, there reason was they (vx) were not vx pads and needed coppergreased ,, sorry but no amount of grease will make pads grow lol , its going bk in ,,, starting to get hacked off with vx,,,,,

If I were you I'd stand my ground with the vx dealer you bought it from as technicaly the car is still under warranty as you get 3 years or so many thousands miles. If you have kept up with the service intervals they are obliged to replace the exhaust under warranty, as for the pads if you still have the receipt from the dealer take it back to them stating you bought the pads specified for your car and they appear to not be fit for what they were intended to as they are supposed to be to small and they are making noises that were not apparent from the original ones. They might offer replacement pads for your car on the basis you get them inspected by them before fit the new ones.
I have had previous psoblems in the past with a car I bought from new which I ended getting sent back to the dealers and getting a full refund on it.
    Hope this helps
