My 19 year old daughter has just been to the Coop with my 14 year old soon and tried buying 6 cans of Magners,a litre of ice cream and chocolate sauce. She has been in the Army for 3 years and has full ID but was refused alcohol because she had my son -HER BROTHER with her and she might be buying it for him!!!!
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LAW-YOU MUST BE 18 TO BUY ALCOHOL?
FAIR ENOUGH THEY HAVE SIGNS SAYING IF NOT 21 YOU MUST SHOW ID
SHE SHOWED ID OF BEING 19 AND WAS STILL REFUSED
I then went down with my daughter and asked why she couldn't buy alcohol and was told-"she might buy it for the underage person" to which I replied if they were drinking it on the street why would they have ice cream and chocolate sause?
After constant argument I then asked if I went in with my son would I be able to buy alcohol and was told -"of course"!
Still adamant they were right!!!!!!
Manager will be getting a visit in the morning!
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE LAW-WHEN YOU'RE 18 YOU CAN BUY A DRINK???????!!!!!!!!!!!
As I left I hoped they didn't have a bomb under their cars and expect it being defused...................!!!! T w ATS
