The law says that if you park your car on a road with a speed limit above 30mph you must leave your side/parking lights on at night, that is the reason for having side lights, let's face it they're rubbish for anything else!

I didnt know that

I've always wondered what they were for, and thought why the h3ll are they called parking lights !!

It's true, but i've never heard of any traffic 'Na zi' wardens booking anyone for it though.
