    Default Handbrake Recall Work Done

Had my handbrake modified this afternoon, and the only change I have noticed is that it seems to heavier to apply, which would seem to be down to the stronger spring that has been fitted. But there again, have never had a problem with it. Am I the first to get it done?

I assume the method of applying the handbrake without depressing the button still applies.

Saw one of these springs today at my dealers parts dept. Vauxhall have quoted 30 minutes labour to fit these uprated springs.

15 minutes for me, although I was told 30 mins. Thinking about it, it also seems to 'take' more solidly as it tightens. Like many others I now leave in gear as a precaution anyway.

Got my letter this morning, will be filled in and sent back tomorrow.

Knowing my local Vx stealers, they will simply say "Drop car off as early as possible and we will phone you when ready".

Which judging by past experience, no matter what job is being done on the car, usually results in a phone call around the 4:30pm mark.

Does anyone know if we are entitled to a courtesy car whilst this recall work is being done?.

I dont want to be stuck without transport the whole day especially if its wet and I cannae use the bike.

I'd think they could look it up from the chassis number if nothing else.

As they are now doing this i'm tempted to go into the local dealer and ask them if they'll do mine. It's well out of warrenty but I dont think that matters for safety recall work.
