Default Help with aftermarket head unit

Hi, just bought a full can bus adaptor from craigmerry, tried figuring out how to fit it, and the lead doesnt fit into my head unit (Alpine ida-x001).

Do I need another connector? As in iso-alpine connector like this:

you need to buy the wire with a jack on the end from halfords. they are about 4 pound and it will replace the one on the adaptor, just clips out of the main box. the one on it i think was for a sony radio thats what craig had.

looking at the pic of the adaptor you need the piece of wire to replace the one there with the jack on the end. the 2 blocks from your stereo lead plug into the block on the adaptor and the one remaining lead plugs into the cars loom. the other piece is for the ariel.

Im assuming that the jack is for the steering wheel controls? that fits without a problem.

the smaller plug which is wired to the plug for the car is an iso plug (i think) so therefore i need an alpine to iso lead but am not sure

    can anyone confirm?

the jack may fit but if its not for an alpine it wont work. the smaller plug should plug into the block of the cars wiring loom thats what gives the power to the stereo and the adaptor. then plug the stereo blocks to the remaining blocks into the adaptor and it should work! just dont plug the jack into the stereo straight away as the steering wheel wont work. you have to switch the ignition on store a radio station, then switch everything off, plug the jack into the stereo switch ignition on then everything should work hope this helps!!!

You will need the alpine iso lead to connect into the other lead?? 16 pin but you should have that with your alpine headunit anyway mate, unless you left it in your old car
