Why no signum VXR

Its a thought that has crossed my mind a few times why is there no signum vxr ? . At first i did not like the styling of the signum but seeing the mods that have been done by you signum owners they have really grown on me.....
Personally i prefere the signum to the vec estate

So its time vx brought a signum VXR out.

I agree, VX should do a special ltd edition of the signum since its about to be killed off - or atleast a special 888 version with the 3.0 V6 CDTi engine and a few nice body mods.

very true, maybe theres one just round the corner? like you said prefer the signum then the estates, with ease

You should ask why no signum. No longer available in the UK i believe.

My thoughts to mat, a kitted up limited edition would be a good idea

Yep, the Signum is being/has been phased out now. I was told this when I ordered my veccy cos I looked into getting a Signum. Like them both

signum aint available in the uk but it still being built but just for europe
till end of august.

Opel did build a prototype Signum OPC (VXR), it was apparently production ready but it was canned at the last minute due to proposed lack of interest.

After all, you pay near on £30K for a Signum 3.0 V6 CDTi Elite, this would make a Signum VXR over £30K and know one in their right mind would buy it.

Don't worry, I have been hatching a long term plan for just this sort of car - always on the look out for a Signum to replace my Vectra, but undecided which engine...

In an ideal world, it would obviously be the 2.8 Turbo - no other choice for a VXR. But with Tax and fuel costs, it's a bit of a non-starter...

3.0 Diesel is going the same way, so 1.9 150 like my current Vec would be the most cost efficient, depending on the cost to but to begin with...

If, as I have seen, the petrol models are significantly cheaper than the diesel ones, it would possibly make more sense to buy one of those. The question then becomes, which one...?

2.2 is the obvious one, as 1.8 is an awful engine, but I hated it in the Signum I had previously and I'd probably end up regretting it. 2.0 Turbo would be the obvious one if it was cheap enough, and I know you can get decent economy out of them if you're careful...

Ooh, decisions.....
