    Thumbs up Egr Valve Clean

Hello everyone, am going to do the EGR clean on my 54 Signum 150 cdti (33,000 miles). I dont have any of the problems..... touch wood..!, but figured that it's good preventative maintenance. I've looked at the How 2 but cant figure out exactly where the EGR valve is.... can anyone say exactly where to find it, and how easy it is to access...?
    Many thanks,
    Dave.

not looked at myself but not heard anyone grumbling about it... lemme run outside and looksie..

Just checked. Easy enuff just pop your engine cover off, pulls upwards, and retrieve the 4 rubber bumps off the stops.

Well i took the valve of yesterday, and it was gunked up with sticky soot..! Cleaned all of that off, and as much as i could in the inlet manifold.
Stripped the valve down and the solenoid plunger was free to move absolutely fine, so i didnt take that bit to pieces. I just cleaned all of the soot from around the valve itself.
Drove it last night, all fine... however when i got home it started doing a DPF regeneration... maybe i knocked a load of soot into the manifold...!
For anyone thinking of doing this job, its really easy, so dont be afraid of doing it...!
