    Default 80 Watt Bulbs

    Are these likely to get me pulled over and in trouble as the currnt bulbs are not all that great?

    Doubtful. I've run 100W bulbs before and passed MOT with them.

    i was thinking 100W but thought that was a bit hight i thought anythin over 55W was ilegal?

    You're right, anything over 55W is illegal.

    Yep over 55watt is illegal. But I doubt it if the police are going to remove your front bumper to take out one of the bulbs to check the rating though., as long as they don,t dazzel I don,t think you will have a problem, unless they melt the wiring in your car.

    Personally I'd be far more concerned about the wiring melting or catching fire.

    Thats put me off that then whats god bright bulb that will improve my vision without setting my car alight?

    What is the fuse rated at for headlights?

    If it's 10 amp for each H/L, that would equal 120watts, so you'd be fine in terms of wiring not melting.

    There's a 40% off discount code for HID'S a few posts up from this one.

    Once you have fitted HID's, you wont ever want to go back to standard bulbs, no matter how allegedly "uprated" they are claimed to be, there's just no comparison.
