    confused MODS Which Grill ??

I am about to embark on some mods:
    1st - grill
    2nd front lower skirt
3rd back lower skirt if I mod the exhaust (not made up my mind yet if to change the exhast and get the sri skirt to show em off - or stick with the current)
4th Side skirts (is this worth it / can it be done on the signum?)

I will do it in stages as funds will be limited.
    Anyway my question is:
Which Grill to go for on an all black signum 55 plate(face lift)?

What happens if I just remove the vx silver bits - is this possible or will it look rubbish.

I'd go for a clouor coded 'V' grille on a black car, I think the irmy one gets lost on black.
You can just remove the chrome bit and you're left with the black plastic backing and an opel
badge but it looks pants, I know as mine was like it for a month.

Next, i'd go to stage 3 and get the visible exhausts and the skirt to match, it will make a huge
difference to the rear of the car.

Sideskirts can be done using the VXR estate ones and will look great too.

Hmmm - Will the plastic backing come off or is that fixed to the already black grill the silver vx v & Griffin is stuck to.
I had thought about the colour coded option - but saw how they looked on this site and the intensive stuff to get it looking just right - and the guys that have done it, all say how long it took.
I was thinking about the paint job my self and thought - just how will I get it to stick to this v chrome? - Thats when I thought cheap and cheaper - take off the silver.
Thinking thinking thinking. As I intend to keep this car a little longer then my others I need to be careful.

It doesn't take that long to do, obviously you've got to take the bumper off and be careful when unfastening
the little clips that hold the different parts of the grille together but it's possible to get the silver off in one
piece. If you do get the silver off in one piece then all you need to do is flat it down and prime it for the
paint to stick, if not then the ready primed VXR 'V' is only about £30 from the dealers.

I've colour coded the grille on my current one and my old pre-facelift myself and i've been happy with the
results. I found with my old black one, rather than pay the £10 for the small cans of paint from the
dealers, the halfords sapphire black is a really good match so more savings there.:

Ah, the penny drops -getting the grill of is a bit of a pain - but worth it, I will look at that option first. Cheers, if I fail I can still go for the imi option. I will let you know what I do.

O a nice black signum ready for modding.
Not to hard to paint the chrome V but i prefer the Irmy grill.
Side skirts you would have to go for Irmscher one's as well as i think they are the only one's available.
Take a look at my photo's and see mine so far

Don't forget the VXR estate ones as modelled by Duncan, among others.
