    Default Passenger Electric Window Switch

    I have an 03 SRi.

Recently the fron passenger window switch refused to operate the window. The the boot lock/central locking switch also stopped working.

I have removed the switch, no loose wires and no change to the operation. I removed it again and this time the locking/boot will work if the switch is pressed hard but still no joy with the window.

Is it likely to be a break in the wire or a faulty switch block - and if so any part numbers for a replacement.

The window operates fine from the drivers side switch.

    Thanks for your help....

It's more than likely just a dirty contact. Pop the switch out again and give the inside a good spray with electrical contact cleaner (Maplin etc. sell it) and that should sort it.

I've now got a very similar problem to this - on mine the passenger switch all works except for winding the window up. Works fine from the drivers door so I suspect/hope a similar solution.

My question is this - just how easy are the switches to get out? Is it simply a case of carefully levering it out or does the door card have to come off?

    Thanks
