Do you think you could have fitted them without removing the rear bumper?

Gordon, I fitted mine without removing the bumper. Its easy to get at the cables from underneath and route them as required. Measurements in the How2 section work well and are easy to get right from the outside.

It really doesn't take long to remove the rear bumper at all. In fact if you compare it to the time taken to measure up from the outside then it's definately worth removing it and going straight for the pre marked points on the inside.

Not wanting to steal johnny's glory, but here's my Steelmate kit fitted that I bought on Ebay for around £60.

Lights & bumper off to get to the markings inside the bumper.

The markings (x marks the spot).
