It's me dad's Veccy that one. Half-six in the morning, alarm woke us up. Really worried about the bodywork at first, wasn't too worried about the window.

Car's a taxi so needed to get it sorted and back on the road ASAP. Cleared all the glass off as carefully as we could. There was loads on the paintwork on the tailgate. We were dead careful picking it up a shard at a time so as not to scratch the car.

As soon as 9am came, went round to the insurer (can be quicker than phoning sometimes). Was told to go to RAC windscreens. Screen fitted straight away, and only had to pay £50 insurance excess. The policy allows you to make one such claim per year without affecting NCB.

This was a couple of weeks ago, but I've just got round to posting the pic.

Of course, the hole was only fairly small. The pic shows the car after I'd knocked all the glass out. i had to do that before driving to the windscreen place, else it would have just piled in.

We've recently had a loft conversion and new rooflights. I suspect some tiles had not been secured properly. It's a warning though isn't it. Something you'd never really expect.
