    Angry Damaged at the dealers

Went in for service today and came back with a little extra!

To be fair, they admitted it happended while it was with them and said they will fix it.

Anybody know about bodywork, how much will they have to spray to fix it? I'm not going to be happy if they try and fob me off with a smart repair.

Just to add, I never wiped the dust off, which means whoever did the damage knew about it! ****er!!!

Doesn`t look too deep, a smartrepair may be your best bet ? if they spray 1/2 the door you may get match problems

Bad enough, but if they're going to rectify the problem and they do a good job then it's not too bad.

Some dealers - it would appear - don't seem interested in putting right this sort of 'accidental damage'.

Don't really wanna name and shame cause they are normally great and did admit liability straight away.

Doesn't show up too well in the pics but there is a slight dent there too (see pic). Do you think a smart repair would be better for colour match than blending in a larger section?

True, I was fuming but like you say, could be worse they have been quite understanding about it and straight away said they would sort it.

There is a crease where it has gone in a little on the right side, they might be able to "push" it out so the panel is flat again, might need to respray more than just the damaged panel up to the "waterline" so that it all blends in. But at least they admitted to it. Make sure they don,t do it "on the cheap" though.
