    Default Correct Calliper Painting

Having got my Saab 314mm brakes, I now need to paint the callipers the same as the rears.

Could someone draw some arrows on my photos to show which bits are okay to paint and which aren't. Don't want to ruin them before I get to use them.

I painted my current ones whilst on the car, want to make sure I do a real good proper job this time

    Cheers

I would say,you can paint everything in pic 2, bar the middle section where the pads and piston are and pic 1 everything you can see as this is the face that you can see when on the car, hope that helps, good luck............

You could get them powder coated would look alot better,imo..............

    BTW they look the business..............

Just don't paint in any guides i.e. where the pads sit and you should be ok.

Mechanic at work just had a look at my brakes for me, and the first thing he said?

"Who the f**k painted those? A 2 year old?"

I didn't think I'd done a bad job of them either! Oh well, looks like I might be stripping and repainting them for this season then....
