    Default Cam follower empty!!!

has anyone had this problem with their 1.9 cdti 150, sometimes when the car is cold i get a ticking noise just like a follower has emptied all the oil out, after about three miles it seems to go away, it doesn't always do it, and the car as only covered 17000 miles, any ideas?

Any Update as I have the same problem I guess. Doesn't happen every time .... more when the car has been stood for a period of time or not on level? Once warm all fine.

Service being done monday so see what fresh oil does.

If it's got hydraulic tappets, then you can get oil flow out of them overnight. The Slight tapping goes when they refill themselves with oil.

I think from memory that it won't do any damage long term, but someone correct me on that if thats not the case!!!

I seem to remember mine could be a bit clattery until warm.

If youre not sure mate, get it checked to put your mind at rest.
