    Default Tyre pressure/wierd

Fitted my new wheels in jan and set pressure to 32psi, lowered it 2 weeks ago and thought i'd double check the pressures. Guess what ?

The pressure had gone UP to 39/40 psi

    Is this normal ?

Pressure should be checked cold, they can give false readings sometimes after being run for a bit, did you check them cold?http://www.kwik-fit.com/tyre-pressure.asp

That site isn't always very good - 225/40W18 2.2 BAR 31 PSI 2.0 BAR 29 PSI . Thats way off for mine.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I didn't know if lowereing the car had done something . Will double check them sunday morning. Just never known a car to go up 7psi . Was driving round for a bit to find tyre pressure pump that worked though. Some sort of conspiracy going on, damaging all the pumps. Kwik fit i bet

I've gone for 32psi, i've got 215/45 17 tyres. Been looking for pressure advice everywhere, this seems to look/work best.

In Jan when you set them it may have been really sub zero and now that the weather has warmed up & you drove around a bit may account for the increase.
Get a cheap digital reader and a cheap foot pump, then you can check em at your pleasure first thing on a Sat / Sun morning and be assured that they are not warm from a drive.
