Jim'll fix it!!!!!!!!

Oh my God, there is Jimmy Saville in the BB house!!! I am not a BB viewer, but the kids are mad about it and I have just spent half an hour explaining who he is and the finer points of the Saturday night brilliance that was "Jim'll Fix it".

I know most of you horrible lot are probably too young to remember it, but I do admit to having written in (I wanted to gallop across the beach on the Lloyds bank horse like in the adverts!!

) and wondered if any of you are guilty of similar???

Failing that, if there was to be a new series (possible after the coverage he is going to get in the BBhouse!!) what would you want him to 'Fix' for you?!?!

I wrote in and wanted to fly in a jet fighter. (Never fixed it for me the b*gger)
AS it was I did that in the Navy.

If it was today, I'd love to fly in a WW2 fighter (mustang or two seat Spitfire)
What an experience that would be. I very nearly went for it in Florida. THere's a company that gives flights in a Mustang but the missus was complainig that we would be late. I've regreted it ever since.

I used to love Jim'll fix it ( I wanted his armchair ). I wrote in to meet Led Zeppelin but nothing happened, (saw them at Knebworth a while later). If it was revived, I think I would probably ask for the same thing TBH. Mind you, I wouldn't want him to fix it for me to meet John Bonham (not yet anyway LOL)

My "Dear Jim" letter in the late 80's read:

Dear Jim, please fix it for me to take Kylie Minogue out for a date.

I stand by that letter and would not change it in anyway... still wanna take her out!!!!

I changed it mate.... put the post about the VXR then had a flashback and remembered what my original Jim'll fix it letter said!!!

I had a Jim'll Fix it Soap on a rope once!!! Looked just like the real medallion!
