    Question Leather retrim

I'm thinking about having a leather retrim done and have just told the missus and she, lets say, needs convincing !

What i need to know is the cost of heaters for the front and rear seats & anything else thats needed to get them working ?
Is all the wiring there in-car to plug it all into ?

    Help !

Have you thought about just buying leather seats with the working already there?

I had thought of doing that, but as i'd need to find then pay for the heated seats (and my plan was to get mine retrimmed while we were on holiday) i may aswell use my own 12 month old seats and buy the heaters with the money it'd cost buying used seats.

You are looking at around £300 to add heater mats to your seats. The parts needed are:-

    X2 Wiring harnesses
    X2 Heater mats base pad
    X2 Heater mats backrest pads

New seat screws X4, new seatbelt screws X2

Don't forget to check your floor loom to make sure your car carries the heater wires.

That will make a nice mod Phil. It would be easy to convinse her if she sat in a car with heated seats on a cold morning, that would do the trick on it,s own.

I had a set of Sri seats retrimmed at CCS & they did a fantastic job, didn't go for heated (although I did have heated seats in my old Vectra Elegance). The Design spec Vec I have had the wiring for the front/rear seat heaters but have no idea whether the SRi has (the design has many more gadgets & may have a upgraded loom)

Sorry, but IMO heated seats ain't worth the price quoted above. I fitted then all round in my Vec B for less than £20 for all four seats, inc dash switches for the fronts.
