    Default The pros and cons of another marque.

    Had the Mondeo for a few days now so I thought I'd share my experience so far of a Mundano STTDCI Vs a Sickbum Elite auto.

    Mondeo pros;
    Acceleration in 3rd-6th, stunning.
    Sony stereo and speaker set up - really good.
    MP3 jack in the glovebox - good idea.
    Ride - very good.
    Comfort - excellent.
    Space, especially in boot area - impressive.
    Heated seats - hotter and faster to warm up.
    Power fold mirrors - ace.
    Auto lights - great idea.
    Headlight washers - ditto.
    12v socket in boot permanently live - at last!!!
    Headlights - excellent.
    "Puddle" lights - ace.
    Dipping rear view mirror - much faster to react.

    Mondeo Cons;
    Alloy wheels - PITA to clean.
    No indirect lighting over centre console.
    Interior - a little "dull" to look at.
    Instrument cluster - not as nice to look at.
    Seats - only height adjustment is powered, no memory obviously. PITA.
    Lights - no "follow home" facility.
    Sunvisors - you have to switch the lights on manually - PITA.
    Doors - sound tinny when opening but not when closing. Curious.
    Footwell seems a little narrower.
    Economy - only averaged 30MPG so far, but no real runs yet to speak of.

    So, whichever way you look at it, each vehicle has its pros and cons. There are points from each car which I feel, if combined, would be the makings of a fabulous vehicle.
    Wonder if the manufacturers would be interested in our views??

    I must admit I kinda like the new Mondeo (I'll get my coat)

    Biggest thing will be if you feel AND get better service from the car than the Vec

    We like to see the care and attention owners lavish on their new ride. If I had a new Mondeo ST it would be gleaming...

    Here is a pic of the sporthatch following a wash ...
