I'm getting 'insp' on the dash when starting the car. It was serviced in November but obviously it wasn't reset. Is there a way i can do it myself?
I've read about holding in the BC button but haven't got one......

Try this method.
Here's the exact VX procedure from their manual...
Resetting the flexible service interval (ECOService Flex) with TECH 2
The display for the flexible service interval (time and kilometres) can be reset via the instrument assembly. The engine control unit communicates with the instrument assembly.
Manual resetting
Ignition OFF. The tachometer display must indicate the trip odometer reading.
Press and hold down reset button (trip odometer button)
Switch ignition ON and wait until the service interval display changes and keep the reset button held down for at least 3 seconds.
After 3 seconds, the tachometer display indicates the symbol with the maximum mileage, 34.000 km for petrol engine or 50.000 km for diesel engine.
The time counter in the instrument assembly is set to 24 months. The engine control unit receives a signal via the CAN bus and the "oil condition" is set to 100 %. The engine control unit and the instrument assembly are now reset
Correct, I'm surprised you didn't know that already...
Some cars have to have the brake pedal depressed too.
I have a 2007 Signum 1.9 CDTi with 17,600 miles from new.
Abour 400 "ish" miles ago, the InSP 1000 message came on. I just wondered if I would get another warning at 500 or 100 countdown?
Is 18,000 ok for a Diesel? When I had the Vectra 3.2 V6, that didn't ask for its first service until 22,500 miles.

Get it booked in, It's officially a 20000 interval, but ideally you want to be giving it an interim oil change to protect the life of the DPF.
Will that light come on on all models? or is it just certain ones when it tells you when to get service.
I guess DPF stands for Diesel Particle Filter.
I searched and saw this thread.
