    Default K&N or PIPERCROSS???

I have a vectra 2.2 direct sri, 2006, its not the fastest and its bad on petrol, using the BP ultimate sometimes helps, anyways, if people can convince me enough that spending 45 quid on either a pipercross or K&N will make a difference i'll try it, but sometimes i think that people think that there is a difference because the box said there will be!!

If you have the money then go for it,some people say it give's a gain but for the very small bhp,i wouldn't bother unless i had the money to waste, you get a deeper induction note though, might be worth it for that........

i have a pipercross fitted at the mo but i have a k&n ready to replace it, nutron done some tests on these and said the k&n gets 11bhp more than the pipercross filter so it makes sense to swap them over....

K+N are good, but I was a tad concerned about how much dust etc could possible get through. I noticed faster pick up and more torque with mine but only ran it for 5 months then went back to paper, chickened out yhinking about the MAF all the time.

When I held it up to sunlight it is very apparent how many "fine holes" are actually in it. Could just be a dodgy filter tho Ram air are good. Maybe an induction kit would better suit. Either way I don't think you will not notice much difference with just a filter upgrade alone. Accompanied with a full exhaust system yes, but even then maybe only 15-20 Bhp at best(depending on exhaust and if you decide to run a cat bypass. It should improve the reaction and feel of the car slightly tho.
