    Default Hi all (Newbie)

    Hi Guys and Gals,

Just joined up, this site is amazing for meeting info filled enthusiasts like yourselves.

I've just bought a Vectra CDTi 150 SRi, goes like absolute hell.

Just to ask all of you for advice, ECU remap or DTUK Box?

All help would be greatly appriciated.

    Cheers!!!

    Welcome mate, enjoy the site.

The 1.9 is a surprisingly powerful car.

    Tuned, it's pretty savage!

Tuning options are a relatively cheap tuning box, or a more expensive but better for the car remap.

Take a look through the threads on here, theres loads on this subject.

    indeed there are..

TBH , if you're considering a box.. get the 'caterman'.. does all the DT UK does but at a fraction of the price.. £75 will get you boxed nicely..

If you want to spend out more, closer to the price of the Dt uk box, then get a remap..boxes are really old hat now and mapping is the way forward..it's far safer for your engine in the longterm and has less reported issues than simply sticking a box on them..

So, as they both give nigh on the same results.. it's a cost thing..

Pay £75odd quid for a tuning box ( don't be fooled into paying out any more) , or

spend out £300+ for a proper remap...

I got a Caterman box ATM, but will get a BSR remap as soon as warranty runs out. Have fun
