    Default gsi mpg

    been getting 250 miles to one full tank from my 3.2 gsi, i know its no diesel but is this about average or is it good/bad? im happy with it but just wondered what others were achieving.

    250 is quite good.... if i'm bad i can see off a tank in under 150 miles..

    300-320 for me, 25mpg avg. Thats taking it fairly easy 85% of the time and 15% driving like a man possessed.

    150?! Think of the planet man!

    now i remember why i bought my diesel!!!!! i get what i thought was a poor 600 miles on my tank.........

    I asked this when I first bought my GSi as it's much worse than the old 2.5 litre GSi.

    After almost 2 years of owning the car I'm averaging 18mpg around town and 22-25mpg on a run which equates to the same 250 miles per tank.

    However, if I use the cruise control on a run and set it to around 60mph, then I will average around 35mpg by the time I get home, which probably works out around 300 miles per tank.
    Having said that, I didn't buy a 3.2 v6 to potter round at 60mph on cruise control

    thats weird cos i find my 3.2 v6 estate to be better on consumption than my veccy b 2.5 v6 ...

    I get between 260 and 300 depending on what sort of driving. Loads of motorway miles, I get the higher figure.

    It may be that I can't squeeze as much fuel in the Vec C as what I could in the Vec B? Making the range less rather than it's mpg.
