2.2 direct SRi
car juddered then lost power wont do more than 20mph
engine management light comes on
aa come out
aa clean one of the air pipes.
car now does 50mph and is bunny hopping. engine management light off but emmisions light on. going to stealers tomorrow as still in warrenty but thought would ask

I'm certainly not an expert mate but sounds similar to problems I had with my 2.2 Direct. Ended up having a new fuel pump and regulator.

Similar symptoms with failing camshaft sensors as well iirc.

high presh fuel pump pump pipe and presure regulator .....

Luckily nothing cause I'd only had the car a week! But I don't think pumps and regulators come cheap. Should be ok if you are under warranty.

If your car is looking anything like your avatar then i think that may be the problem

Had the same problem, got it repaired under warranty. Seems to be common problem with the 2.2 Direct.
