Default She's Spending the night at the Stealer's

Well after suspicions of a broken spring or shock damage i have decided to take the car to the dealers at dinner time, i got a phone call at 1800 to say they didnt manage to look at her today, so she's spending the night at the dealers,

The work should be covered by the warranty, but if the dont find anything wrong will i have to pay for dyagnostics?

    hope she sleeps ok,
has she ever been on a sleep-over before?

surely they'll not charge just for giving the suspension a quick look over?

Yip about £40 investigation fee, but then B19CBB if they didn't tell you that and they continue you are not obliged to pay up if they fail to find anything and haven't told you about the 'investigation fee'.

When I went to get my bust wipers fixed under warranty that's what the dealer told me straight away - If they don't find anything wrong that's covered by the warranty then I would have to fork up. I told them If it's not covered by the warranty then do not carry out any work.

    Default Spring Update

Leviathan, I had to drive the wife's Ford KA, what a nightmare.

Anyway I picked her up this afternoon..........................

I wont make you's guess what was wrong,

They phoned me to tell me she had stones stuck in the spring

and the front NS headlamp was loose ( I took her in for springs so i dont know how they discovered the headlamp)

I told them not to bother i would take her elsewhere, the guy gave me the report sheet and my car keys so i got in my car and came home.....

When i read the report sheet this is exactly what it said
"stones found in OSF spring, Removed"

I took her to a mates garage who put her on the ramps and took a look it appears they must have removed the stones,

So i have got away without paying for the job anyway

Yeh its great considering they wanted £76.38p just for removing the stones then another £64.14p to fix the headlamp.
