    Default help with parking sensors

Completed my first mod today. Fitted parking sensors, everything went ok until i tested them. Even when nothing is blocking them they will beep 6 or 7 times then they settle and work fine for a few seconds then they will beep again. this cicle seems to repeat over and over

Could this be the bulb check causing the problem? meaning I need to fit the relay or do i have a faulty unit?

Sensors are fitted in the location in the how 2 section so shouldn't be too low.

    cheers for any help

could be a power problem, mine bleep on start up so you know they are working, wire a temp supply direct to the batt (or cig lighter) this will prove the supply.

Try aiming them up a bit to see if it is ground/rough surface interference?

Don't forget they 'see' a little sideways as well so make sure you are not near a fence or house or something on your rear quarter.

    I had this problem also.

turned out i had a faulty sensor. what you should do is go into the control panel and unplug 1 sensor at a time, if you have a faulty sensor, once you unplug it, it should stop beeping.

also use the wedge shaped rings to point the sensors up a bit incase they are detecting the ground, hth.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Think I've sorted it. I had used scotchlocks to tap into the live feed for the reverse light. i opened this up to make sure it was connecting properly and the wire was cut. connected it all back up using spade connectors and it seems to be working. So looks like it was a faulty live connection.
I'll test it over the next few days and see how it goes!!

    Thanks again for the help
