    Vehicle : Vauxhall

    Trim : very

    Engine : Z19DTH

    Year : Nosey

You won't get 250bhp for more than ten minutes before either the police stop you, believing your car to be on fire or it will go pop.

    K&N filter not pipercross

Methanol kit is a good plan

Dump valve wont change performance unless you get a recirculating one

Wouldn't even throw stones at Regal, get a BRS remap box if they do one for your can and you must have a remap but the Water methanol kit will add 10-20bhp without the risk of your fuel pump giving up.

A custom exhaust is a nice idea but I wouldn't de-CAT it, I haven't and I'm not aware of anyone with more power (correct me if I'm wrong).

I thing 200-220bhp is a reasonable expectation but the torque is more important obviously.

If you have a warranty then try everything! If you haven't I would certainly kick the remap into touch unless you can get a custom one done that doesn't ****** up your fuel pump or kick out a 'mushroom cloud' every time you floor it.

I don't know of anyone that has bothered with an exhaust on one of these. You could gain a little or lose a lot!

Dump valves would have no effect and make embarrassing noises when you were trying to be 'stealthy'.

As for the water/methanol thingy I don't know, but Nutron seems to be having some luck with his.

Not sure how much all that would add to your insurance premium either. *gulps*

The engine is quite famous for not being 'tuner friendly'.The most I've ever seen quoted by a tuning company is 210-220bhp.Many tuning boxes only raised the bhp by 5 or 10!

Yes it is,but having driven one or two I would say that they aren't as refined as the V6 and they don't have that lovely V 'rumble' either.Still, yer pays yer money.......

I've seen figures of around 220 on some charts and torque figures up to 380 ft/lbs! At this point I should mention the gearbox.LOL

TBH I wouldn't trust the V6 to stay untroubled with anything more than the K&N and maybe the Aquamist thingy.

Take note that you are the only one currently on this forum who actually wants to tune a V6!

I had thought about having my tuning box reprofiled so that I only get the increase in torque in the midrange (but not as much fuelling) and have little or no top or bottom end refuelling.I only need to send the box back to dragonperformance and they'll do it for free.

If you want a remap, take a look at these people. Harry and Cabby are running remapped 3.0 V6's, so far without trouble.
