    Default Best Budget Tyres

Repeat question I know...sorry! but just before I go and have 4 new tyres fitted just want to get some opinions on the best budget tyres to fit. I want to stay with the 215/50/17's but don't want to pay over £100 each!

I have searched old threads and it seems the Nankangs can be noisy, I have been offered Admirals at £55 each fitted

    Any recommendations?

    Try balckcircles.com.

I found them really good, sotck every size you can think of.

They have deals with garages all over the country. You pay them one price that included everything, then they ship the tyres to a garage of your choice (usually within 20miles) they fit them and you pay nothing on the day.

I believe that they have a choice of about 7 or 8 for under £100, even goodyears.

If replacing the 4 try getting a deal on 225/45/17's they're cheaper tyres as the size is more common

£100 each isn't budget tyre country IMO.

You should be getting just about anything you want for that price on all 4 corners.
I would recommend ringing round the places local to you and get a quote for all 4 with their biggest discount possible, you may be surprised how 'little' you can them for.

What do you want out of them?? Grip, longevity, noise, etc etc. This info is crucial in deciding which tyre to buy.

Check out Topgear shop on ebay they have franchises around UK. I checked out their online price then phoned local franchise and they agread to supply and fit for ebay price. Granted this was a year ago but I got toyo proxes for all four for just £200. These tyres grip like glue and despite reports of quick wear I didn't find this, and I have a lead right foot if you know what I mean!

Have just had the misfortune to have Pirelli P6000s fitted up front. Vibration and twitching so back to ATS where I am told that I had "shaken loose a weight" which they "refitted".

Still vibrating and twitching. A call to the fleet manager tomorrow to ask for some tyres that aren't ****e.
