Thumping sound, passenger side front on deceleration

Hi, hope someone can help diagnose this problem...

The Car:
2003 Vectra 2.2 SRI petrol and the problem started yesterday.

The Problem:
From the front passenger side there is a loud thumping/knocking/rumbling sound on deceleration, the noise stops on decel if the brakes are applied. At one point, when I applied the brake, the ABS kicked in... When braking, car pulls straight and no vibes. Car on acceleration is pulling to the left.

2 weeks ago, I changed the brake discs and had to knock the discs off with a hammer (as the locating screw was totally seized). I'm thinking that this fault is possibly related to the smacking of the discs....

First thing I'm going to check is the road wheel bolts to 110nm, then the security of the calliper securing bolts.

Any help diagnosing would be great!!

It could be the brakes mate, as my old astra had a thumping coming from it when slowing down. According to the dealer it was warped discs......

Hi mate, thanks for the reply but I fitted genuine vx new discs 2 weeks ago, when braking there is no feedback through the steering column and the noise acutally stops when brakes are applied....
