    Default Door mirror vandalism

Hi I hope someone can help.

I have just been subject to mindless Vandalism. Some so n so has decided to kick off the side mirrors on my Black 1.8 SXI 2004 (40,000 mls). I have replaced all but the mirror on the offside but the nearside is completely gone, right down to the smashed arm casting, wires are hanging and I am really fed up.

Can anyone suggest a course of action. I do have vandalism cover with direct line but will have to pay the excess. Is it worth while getting Vx to sort properly or can I source a second hand part easily and in a cost effective way.

    Your ideas will be appreciated

    Thanks for the reply cameraman,

I have looked on ebay plus many other sites, I have just received a quote from MegaVaux.com with a price of £47 which includes postage. I am just finding out if it includes the job lot.

    cheers

    Marko

    Job done,

Mirror bought from megavaux for £47, then paint and lacquer (mirror came with different colour so painted in sapphire black to match) for £8.70 from Vx. Total £55.70. I fit it myself with torx bit and did not have to remove door trim only section covering screws.

    How2's were very useful, cheers

    Done!!

Ah nice one, probably cheaper than paying the excess. Very annoying though.

Always best to just grit your teeth and pay out the cash for replacement parts, i had my read door window smashed, was easier to pay £120 for a window than go through insurance =/ Thats life mate its lame sometimes.
