Default Discs and Pads - Good Buy ?

Looking to do my Front and Rear discs and pads on my Signum.
I came across these on ebay, do they look a good buy.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-VECTR...QQcmdZViewItem

£91 for all four corners but depends on quiality I suppose.

Any suggestions or other recommendations would be welcome.

    Thanks

I believe it's about £65 retail in a VX dealer for a disc and pad kit (cheaper if you can get trade price).

The stuff they advertise should be ok EBC, Mintex etc, that is assuming that is what you will get, looks almost too good to be true. Beware, there is a lot of cheap stuff ciming in from China that isn't up to much though. I would check on the make if you can before you buy.

I'd find out exactly what make you're getting before you buy them

OK, it's a bit dearer, but for £152 all in you could have two sets of the Vx disc and brake kit, or £108 all in if you can get them at trade price. Unless you know exactly what that kit is, it's a small 'extra' price, IMO, to know that you're getting genuine parts.

Ok, I know I fitted Mintex pads to mine when they needed replacing, but that was only because I could get them from where I work at a VERY advantageous price. I was very happy with the OE spec stuff, excellent performance IMO

If you work in the automotive trade you can get a trade card from Halfords . Some reasonable savings to be made there . I think you have to run a garage to get a trade card from VX . If you buy anything from LUCAS in one of their shops you get trade prices automatically .
