    Question Changing a windshield....

Two make story short the windshield is cracked, so defo needs replacing, the thing is that I can get my hands on one of the more fancy ones from a 2006 Vec that has a nice tint on top, it`s heat reflective and has the gadget to fit a rain sensor and is cheaper than to replace it for the standard one.... my car does not have so far a rain sensor. TBH I dont care about the rain sensor....I live in a desert...so the rain its out of sight, I`m just wondering if I can get the "box" that covers the rain sensor,... otherwise I will get the standard one.

How much is it gonna cost you? Postage always gets you doesn't it.

Edit: ^^^Too slow, thats bound to work out cheaper than postage.

Yeah, no need for the sensor if you're not all wired up for it. That number is just the housing, so see what they want for just that. Probably still £144 GBP!!!

Right! knowing how things are around here...just the housing will be more expensive than the sensor itself
I`ll check the price tomorrow and let you know

    UPDATE...
Well the beast has a new windshield finally, after several months, 5 hours of labor and 59 GBP`s.
I decided to put the windshield without the rain sensor, but the one fitted is much better that the one it had....it has a dot like shadow behind the rear view mirror and a cool new feature...it darkens a little under the sunlight...noticeable mostly looking at it from the outside.
In other words bye bye cracked windshield
