    Angry Auto Box Gone Again

In September i had a new Auto Box Fitted in my Signum 2.2dti, it went while i was towing the caravan on holiday (Cooling Seal Problem). To Day 4000miles later i took the van out for our 1st weekend away since the the new box was fitted and yes you quessed right 48 miles down the road the g.box as thrown most of its oil down the road. Looks like the same problem as before. Can any one tell me if there is an issue while towing with Auto Boxes. The caravan brakes were not binding and while towing the Temp was only marginally higher than normal. Its now back at the dealers who will look at it on Tuesday, I guess they will try and wriggle out of this one.

no real issue with towing with autos at all..

I pull 4 wheel car trailers and 'vans with mine... ( the bars there for a reason )..

I'd contact the supplying dealer who replaced the box, and due to the mileage and timescale i'd press them and VX customer services to replace it again. totally free of charge...

The autobox will last far longer than that..... my last auto ( vectra) went to over 200,000 regularly towing on the weight limit..

    Thanks for that.
I guess they could not have done a proper repair in the first place. When towing the Temp Gauge is halfway but just before the g.box went it rose only very slghtly. Thats when the Spanner light came on. I coasted for about a mile to the motor way slip rd. When the tow truck turned up i was able to drive it up onto the flat back with out any trouble but there was certainly a patch of fluid drive oil on the floor. I am sure the g.box was operating well with in its temperature range. I just find in strange that it went the first time i stick the van on the back.
