    Default Boot adjusting

    Afternoon All,

I recently had a bike rack on the car and now my boot seems slightley out of line as if its twisted to the right. Anyone have any idea how to adjust these.. i've looked in my haynes manual but aint came up with much.. any help would be appreciated..

    Thanks

    Steve.

A bit odd that the boot should be twisted, when you say " boot " do mean
boot and not hatch ! i would just grab the boot lid on each side and twist it back into its position, you might have to over twist it to get it back in line !

sorry i mean the bit which lifts up . its the gap from the lights to the hatch when closed is bigger at the left and as you follow the gap along the roof line its gets smaller towards the right of the car if that makes sense.. so you think just open it and twist back.. Thanks m8

IIRC There are bolts either side of the boot. You'll see them when you open the it. Look along the line of the car (where the sides of the boot sit) and you'll see the bolts i'm referring to, somewhere around the bottom of the boot pistons. They sit in a slotted hole allowing for adjustment. Just loosen these and adjust to suit.

PlEASE NOTE: mine is a saloon but hopefully yours will be the same.
