    Default ******, what a day!

Just helped my mate do the airbox mod and replace the intake with the shorter one. The airbox mod went easy no problems however removing and replacing the air intake was a totally different matter. Eventually got it in but in the process we have 'deformed' the end of the pipe where it connects to the airbox and so does not tightly fit!

Its getting dark out now, so will try again tommorow. Has anybody else had problems with this on a facelift car?

Im off to get a load of sticky plasters now.

    Cheers

done it on the pre facelift and the old one was a nightmare to get off, in the end i broke it off by smacking it with a hammer! the new one was very difficult to put on as well took ages to get the clips locked in

Not as easy as what i thought anyway, getting it out was relativly streightforward. Getting the new one back in was a different matter, not i can get it to connect to the airbox caus' the end of the pipe is deformed!

Groan.... Why do I even try stuff life this?????
