Default 4th Service, No change of spark plugs?!

Car was serviced today, 4th service 25k on it, 4 years old and apparently the spark plugs dont need changing for 8 years or 80,000 miles so they didnt do them...

    Thats like FOREVER!

    How can that be right??

Yep, spark plugs change interval is 80K, well it is for my 1.8 at least.

I changed mine at 60K and there was not a bean wrong with them.

Must be good plugs. I hope it is an easier job to change them on your than it is to on mine.

    Dead easy to change.

Engine cover off, coil pack off, loosen all plug with long reach socket and extension bar, and if the rubber insert in the plug socket is in poor condition refit the coil pack and lift all the plugs out together. Piece of wee.
