Egr valve changed today still has problems !!!!

My car started juddering and spluttering and generally running sh**te last week , took it to local garage and code p0400 was displayed !

So i changed my egr valve today and reset the fault code!
Car seemed fine for first 2 miles then slowly came back however no spanner light yet in 10 miles ????

The engine seems to change tone when you wiggle the injector wiring and first acceleration after wiggling is great then it starts chugging again ?

Does the new egr valve need set up on tech 2 or anything like that ??

Does anyone know the injector wiring repair kit part number ??

Anyone have any more ideas ???

my car is running exactly the same mate,took it to vx dealer and they said its either maf sensor,egr valve or inlet manifold if that helps any.

I do know a few members have had "issues" with the injector wiring loom might be worth getting that checked out !!!!!!

Have changed MAF too sorry should have said in original post !
Would the wiring cause this particular fault ?

Test to check wiring loom on injectors - Leave car idling and listen to engine note. carefully move the wiring for injector number 3 first one way then the other. See if it changes note, it will become 'lumpy' if the fault is present.

yep Plasma it seems to do that do you have the repair kit part number so i can go to stealers in morning ?

mine is a 120 and the wiring loom has been done any ideas anyone ,oh and its chugging out smoke like a power station.

Was done under warranty mate, kit should consist of all 4 injector plugs attached to thicker wiring which will need splicing in further up the loom i believe. Havent got no part no's as i didnt think to get a printout of it when the job was done. be careful though as i think they'll want about £150 for the repair kit!!
