    Default Mirror light

    Does anyone know how or if you can change the orange mirror light to blue as im going to be doing the dash and switches etc.

    I think you may be the first to do this mod - not heard of, or seen any others do this yet. Is it an LED?

    Yep, it's an LED - wll an SMD - so I'd imagine 'all' you need to do is to disassemble the mirror and change the SMD. I think the potential problem though is that, I think, the mirror housing is sealed, i.e. welded, so not sure how you get into it easily or without breaking it.

    Just put some blue see through plastic over it, should do the trick...........

    Thanks for your replies, Im going to have a good look tomorrow to see if it can be done, ill let everyone know how it goes incase anyone else wants to do it.

    I thought about doing that quite a while ago when I had the clocks changed to blue, but if there is a How2, I'm very interested too

    From 2003 brochure, talking about Indirect Night Lighting - "works via red and green LED's integrated into the rear-view mirror" How come it shows as orange?

    I have blue clocks and blue interior lights so if you manage the mod let us know, i think its time to get my tools out again.....
