I think the canbus wiring interferes with 2nd party alarms, Green Growler is your best bet for info as he has wired an alarm into his and knows what he is talking about, you could send him a Pm ?

Cheers Bainie, I have indeed fitted an alarm, but for one reason and another, mainly time, weather, and the car being at a dealer, I have not yet finished fitting my system.
And two of the main things I have not yet done, are the indicators and the central locking.
I have the instructions for fitting a Cobra system, (from someone on here ) but they are for a Opel, which makes things a little confusing as Opels will be left hand drive (which will effect where things are in the car), and judging by the context they are written, quite possibly translated from another language, probably German at a guess.
I have not yet tried to do this myself but:

Connect to the wires: Black/White at the position nr.3 (ant. left), Black/White at the position nr.4 (lat. left), Black/Green at the position nr.2 (ant. right), Black/Green at the position nr.9 (lat. right) located in the 50 way green connector, in the central near the battery, in the engine compartment; Black/White at the position nr.8 (post left), Black/Green at the position nr.9 (post. right), in the 33 way blue connector, in the central placed in the drivers side boot. Separate the lines with 1N5406 diodes.
I have no idea if they are the easiest locations to make the connections.
But where ever you make the connections, due to the canbus system I would strongly advise against making direct connections and I advise you to use the diodes.
