    Vauxhall CDTi 50:50s correction Detailing

sorry guys I have just been looking on www.detailingworld.co.uk
and I have just seen this Vauxhall astra CDTI twin top done by old mate
    Iain Brown of Finerdetail

This must be one of the best 50:50s correction Detailing I have seen on a black car and a vauxhall CDTi

So just have a look and you can see what can be done

    Vauxhall CDTi 50:50s correction Detailing

    this is what he did

Wheels: Bilberry, AS tar remover, raceglaze brush and a fine brush
    APC for tyres and arches.
Bodywork: Espuma Superclean with rinse aid.
Clayed with Pinnacle Ultra Fine and AS Re-glaze.

Then moved down into the warehouse, dried and taped up with 3m 3434 before going to check the paint depth readings.

Out with the rotary, a polish and pad combo and some testing to see what I'd need to dig this 12 month old car out of the bag.

Next I moved to the passenger side of the roof, then onto the rear boot panel:

rear bumper - pad and polish combo swapped for bumpers, moved to a softer pad, coarser polish to cut but keep heat down.

As some may have seen, the tyres got dressed mid paint correction. Mainly to give the dressing time to dry. I then applied XMT finishing Glaze with the PC. Whilst this say for a few mins, I re-visited the alloys with Tar remover, applying AS highstyle to the arches as I toured. Next was a coat of wheel wax. Left to cure whilst I continued.

Back to the bodywork, wiping off the XMT, and then applying a coat of Onyx wax. This was left to coat then. Back to the alloys for a buff off. Trim dressed, exhaust cleaned and all glass polished. Last job was to buff off the wax before making all final checks - including wiping polish dust from door shuts etc.

Another massive collection of pics for the paint correction page on my website/portfolio. I really enjoyed doing this today, even with the many many interuptions going on, ranging from the customer, his colleagues and my phone lol

Thank you for reading chapter one......
