Default Happy but sad day (sort of)

Just finalised a deal on a Mondeo ST TDCi estate in performance blue.
P/Xing the Siggy, in the time it's run I've loved it, one of the best looking cars with all the kit on I've ever had but reliability - forget it!
Just as a warning, if anyone ever sees KT04 HMF in the auctions, AVOID!!

Love the company one here though so you're not getting rid of me just yet!!

Garvey, after my car if it only breaks down 3 times a year it will be a model of reliability.
Having done my research, change the fuel filter every 5k to protect the injectors, oil every 6k and clean out the EGR valve every 10(ish)k.
As long as I know that I really don't mind doing it. It's the continual unreliability or more appropriately the unexpected unreliability and breakdowns that pee'd me off with the Siggy.

No pics yet as it's in the workshop having a service and valet, but it's done 11k, in performance blue and is completely standards (for now!)

Have to say, the people on here are a much friendlier bunch that the MEGs though, hence I'll be hanging around!

ST TDCI is a beautiful car, and as long as you look out for the common problems with the TDCI (which it looks like your on top of) you will be perfectly fine!

Out of interest, how much did you pay? And what kind of MPG does this do?

If I'm honest, I like the ST Estate, the only thing I don't like is the economy, I had a 2.2 TDCi while my SRi was in, loved the way it went, but 35mpg was taking the pi$$!!!

Good luck with it though, bud. Hope it looks after you.

    I paid £13k, it's 11 months old and has done 10 000 miles.
Inc in the deal is a full service, 2 front tyres as they only had about 6k left on them and the balance of the warranty.
Took it out for a drive and went through the fuel computer, this one had averaged 44 MPG over 480 miles. That's 6-8 better than I get from the Siggy and seeing as I believe it resets at each fill up I'll take that. I've read they avaerage 45+ on long motorway journeys which is all I do at the end of the day.
