Default Diagnostix UK Power Tuning Box

Right then Guys & Gals, get ready for this -

I've just been back to get my Tuning Box turned up a little bit more by the guys at Diagnostix Uk in Barton (south of Humber Bridge). My god, what a difference. It nearly snapped my head off when I floored it. He reckons I'm getting just over 180bhp out of my CDTi 150, and it bl00dy feels like it too.

A full plug in box (completely removable in seconds) will cost you £237.00, but I've just negotiated a very very special discount to members who mention vectra-c.com. They do a universal Tuning Box (without plug) and are currently offering 40% discount on this. How about that then?

I'll place a link in the Approved Traders section to their websites and full details of the discount.

Best money i've spent so far.

So I take it that this can be received through the post and then just hooked up at home on the drive then Alex, is that correct? A bit like plug and play!

They do a full plug and play option. Just ask them for details.

Why did you need to go to them and get it "increased"? Is it not just plug and play or is there tweaking to do when fitted?

I have been looking at all of these tuning boxes for about a week now as I want more power!! But if this does what it says on the tin then for that discount I am on the phone to them the morra.

AJA, can you realy feel that much difference in the performance with the new box fitted?... Maybe you could give us a short report on your findings?

    Cheers,

    Lee.

Honestly mate, the power increase is phenomenol, trust me.

I bought my box from an eBay auction, and it was a universal fitting. This means we had to cut into existing wires to connect it. This is why I went to them to fit it. It's still easy to remove, but I advise that you go for the box specifically for the Vx Common Rail as it will come with a connector.

    You will not be dissapointed!

Just ordered mine today, members on here get a very large discount so mine cost £146 inc postage, one small snag the discounted version doesn't come with plug so there are 3 wires to connect however Mike(very helpful guy) assured me it isn't difficult and if Iam struggling with it they will fit as they are only 1.5 hrs drive away

    Pictures of install -

The only wire that was cut was the yellow one from the ECU. The blue wire from the Tuning Box was attached the yellow wire from the ECU; the Green wire from the Tuning Box was attached to the yellow wire going to the Plug. The other wires were attached to the uncut wires from ECU via the blue connectors as shown below.

To remove the box completely (should you need to do so) you just simply unattach all the wires and join the yellow ECU wire back up and you'll be back with the Vx setup. Easy

I think they are mate, or they're only available for Common Rail Diesels from these guys anyway.

There are ECU remaps and chips available for Petrol though.
