Don't have but aware of it through family and friends. There are millions out there with type 2, lots of support and lots of info...

One positive to it could be you've just been given one hell of a kick up the rear end to improve your fitness and diet.

    Default diabetes

I got type 1 which is the severe type

last year I cycled from coast to coast berwick to carlisle

and go mountain biking, motorcycling, and weight training

so no- you just have to do what you should be doing anyway- good diet, exercise and so on.

you'll know if you have it cos you'll be thirsty, blurred vision, tired, weeing a lot, and not full of the joys of spring when you wake up in the morning

all these symptoms disappear when you get the diabetes under control

    good luck!!

I get all that but it never shows up when I get tested, I thought it was gonna show itself in hospital last yr after the crash, they wouldn't let me go home because my sugar was low, and I thought hey ho this will confirm it, then again it could be mirror symtoms of a bad diet, got a medical this year so it should show one way or the other, I wonder if the path lab staff can't be bothered some times and pass it without testing it.

I think it's the effects of being penned in with so many other ppl on this island, lot to be said for moving to a small village by the sea with a population of 1000.

I have got the same problem, going to see some "SPECIALIST" in the hospital next week. Had a lot of tests done all came back clear. This has been going on for nearly 2 years now, and they still can't say whether or not I have it.
