ive had a letter from vx recalling my 20tdue to "concern where the exhaust clamp may become loose" - has anybody else had one - mine does rattle a little at low revs and on starting but just assumed it was the twin exhaust

not for a 2.2 sri
I woke up, turned the laptop on and read this is bed... walked downstairs and had th recall in the post!!!!!!
LOL.... at least you heard it here first
I took the car to my Vxl dealer and they took it straight in and popped it up on the ramp, so I took the opportunity to go to the parts desk and order a traction control button.... while I was in there the Service Manager came in to get the right exhaust clamp and they didn't have any!!!! They have to order them from Luton and there are no spares locally!!!!!
Gonna have to wait to get it sorted, but nevermind.
sounds like typical vx dealers, they wouldnt take my car straight in, i have to arrange for them to come and pick it up on tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had mine done about 6-7 months ago
This is a new recall for the Turbo engined vectra's.... slightly bigger bore apparently cos my dealer couldn't get a 2.2 exhaust clamp to fit!Originally Posted by VectraSXi
This in one of the things that gives vauxhall dealers a bad name. Vauxhall issue a recall, which i guess dealers get notified about. Wouldnt it then makes sense to order in loads of the new parts for when the mad rush happens?
