Default Can a Tech 2 Change Time on Dash?

    Howdie Folks,

I have had an after market head unit fitted to my car, and was wondering if the nice people at VX would be able to change the time on my display instead of having to take out my headunit, put the the CD30 back in and do it that way.

If anyone knows if this is possible it would be apprectiated.

Just out of interest, why did you put an aftermarket head unit in?

I changed it as the CD30 is very basic. I now have an Alpine HU which can do CD, MP3 and has a connection direct to my iPod. Its fully wired to my steering wheel so now i have a system which can play almost anything without having to use wires, fm transmitters etc.

Thanks also Dean, i am also under the impression its HU out and CD30 in.. Or just a bit of tape over the clock!

Yep, twice yearly ritual for myself also, I tried living with the clock an hour out but it just got too annoying.

Can have my Pioneer unit in and out now in about 10 mins !!!

Interesting, I asked my VX dealer a long time ago to change it during a service, he said it wasn't possible (and I do find him a very reliable dealer). I did have my doubts but at £50ish quid a pop the swapping method is far cheaper

Thanks guys. Ill swap it out tomrrow. I can only assume that the T2 method would only take a min or so to complete... Its amazing the price they want to do it. Oh well it will give me something to do now the evenings are longer!!

    Thanks
