EGR Valve?? at just over 2000 revs it will be your turbo kicking in to give you the acceleration... is it really sluggish below that??

I've had exactly the same problem last week with my SRI 1.9 CDTI. No power under 2000 revs. Been into vx to look into and told that it's the EGR valve. They are currently on a 3 week backlog as this is a common fault. Have driven it since being to the vx garage with no problems but my go at anytime, just waiting for the call from vx to fit the new EGR valve.

By the way it has cost me £200 for the valve.

Yep, you'll be covered if it's something like the turbo/EGR etc. - all covered under the three year warranty.

VX checked the car on thursday,They said they would give us a shout when they get in the EGR VALVE in a week or so,They have had a few this week and are back logged,,Now I noticed yesterday that the light has come on for the catalyc converter,Is this linked to the EGR problem,,,cheers..
